Highschool of Makrychori, Greece
Our school (MHS) is located at the suburbs of Larissa, Greece. It is a small, regular high school where we provide courses on the three pillars of education: humanities, science – mathematics and ICTs at the three grades (age 12-14) of compulsory education and the latter non-compulsory three (age 15-18). The MHS also develops the athletic spirit and cultural awareness.
The scope of MHS work is to prepare teenagers for being active citizens in the digital era and a better- sharing human values- world. While living so close to an urban area, the vision of our school is to incorporate culture and traditions in the contemporary context of life in the European Union and the world. The school also aims at teachers’ professional development and the extroversion at national and European level. Therefore, the vision and the scope form our school’s motivation to participate in this project.
