INS Carles Rahola i Llorens is a public high school, founded in 1985, and located in the eastern part of the city of Girona (Catalonia). The school has about 600 students, aged 12-18, distributed over 25 classes in three types of studies:
-
ESO studies, mandatory studies (12-16)
-
Batxillerat studies, to prepare the pupils to enter University (16-18)
-
PFI studies to give students good access to the labour market
The staff is made up of approximately 70 employees, of whom 60 are teachers.
The centre aims to give each student what they need to become a responsible, autonomous and integrated person in the society in which they live. To achieve this goal, different strategies are put into practice, including the extension of the comfort zone of students by exposing them to new situations that make them more mature, such as exchanges with European centres.
